WHAT TO WEAR WHEN VISITING A CHIROPRACTOR?

If you’re going to visit a chiropractor, then make sure you know what you should wear and what you shouldn’t wear.

What to Wear When Visiting a Chiropractor

Most people who visit a chiropractor will be there for the same reasons: they’re suffering from back pain or neck pain. They want to see if they can find relief through a chiropractic treatment. But if you’re planning to visit a chiropractor, you should also know what to expect during your appointment. Here are a few things to consider before you head out to see a chiropractor for a posture correction, a scoliosis treatment or any other chiropractic treatment.

When visiting a chiropractor, it’s important to dress appropriately. You don’t want to be uncomfortable and distracted during your appointment, and you don’t want to be caught in the wrong clothes. In this post, we’ll explain what to wear and how to make your visit more comfortable.

It can be tough to figure out what to wear when visiting a chiropractor, especially if you’re not familiar with the way things work.

  • • They want to see how you walk and sit, so wear comfortable clothes.
  • • Wear a pair of loose pants and a loose shirt.
  • • Wearing shoes with a heel is uncomfortable for many patients.
  • • Shoes should be in good condition, but it’s not necessary to wear orthopedic shoes or dress shoes.
  • • Loose clothing, slippers, and socks are acceptable but don’t go barefoot.

Fabric

Thin fabric is needed to perform adjustments without excess material interfering. A great choice for this are regular T-shirts or dress shirts with a few inches of material to spare.

A Loose Fit

Atlas chiropractor will need to look at your entire body during an exam and use their training and experience to help identify any imbalances in your spine. Chiropractors may have to adjust your posture to ensure that your body has a strong core and is flexible throughout your whole body. A restricted amount of clothing can make it harder to get an accurate reading. Try wearing loose clothing that fits comfortably.

Pants for Women

Yoga pants are a comfortable solution for women who don’t want to wear leggings. They are stretchy and allow a person to move as needed. Jeans do not fit this category and other types of pants that have buttoned up tops are too restrictive and uncomfortable.

Shorts for Men

Men should wear shorts for a little comfort. Shorts may make them feel more comfortable during this portion of the process.

Jewelry

Skip jewelry, leave jewelry at home. Necklaces, in particular, can get in the way of the adjustment. The office may inform new patients of this instruction, especially if an X-ray or other scan is needed on the first visit to obtain a full medical exam.

Atlas Chiropractic is not able to perform any X-Rays on site. If you plan to get a body piercing removed, please get it taken care of.

Visit Atlas Chiropractic for an adjustment. Be sure to avoid wearing jewelry and wear all the right clothes for the visit. This is highly important if you want a full assessment and comfortable adjustment without any interference from clothing.
